Braves And A's Discussing J. Upton And Gattis?

Both Gray and Norris are under team control beyond 2017 (2019 and 2020). Would love to have them. Norris is the exact kind of hitter this team needs and Gray is probably my favorite pitcher right now.

There's just no way the A's trade Gray.

If we could get Gray and Norris, I would even offer Justin, Gattis, and Minor.

Teheran
Gray
Wood
Miller
Hale/Veteran like Harang (but NOT Harang)

That's still a damn good rotation.

Oh, man. I would love that rotation.

I would cry. That's not only good enough to compete with the Nats, but I think it's better. The offense would be lacking, but we can rebuild it and our money is there.

Me too. And if you put Norris in front of Freeman you'd probably generate some decent offense. He would likely lead the team in OBP (not saying much, but still).

Teheran, Minor, Gray, Miller, Wood

Peraza 2B
Aoki RF
Norris C
Freeman 1B
Gattis LF
CJOH/Prado? ;) 3B
Simba SS
BJ CF

I could get on board with something like this. And sorry guys, but I really love Aoki.

Like most of this. Prado is perfect for a platoon somewhere, but he can't hit righties much so wouldn't be a good partner with CJ. That's the ideal situation for him, though, and I hope he gets the chance with the Yankees. He'll really shine in a platoon role.

I agree. They won't trade Josh Donaldson either.

:icon_biggrin:

Have to admit I didn't think they would trade him either, though trading him at least made a little more sense (though just barely) given he only had 4 years of control left and was a super 2. They still have Gray for 5 more years with the next two league minimum. If they trade him, they've lost their minds.
