Eric Garner doesn't get justice

Not sure why the heck Goldfly just got out of control

I guess people are ok with people resisting arrest.

Bc he believes you should be able to do what you want because he has not respect for authority.

That must be it. I just can't for the life of me understand how anyone can accept someone resisting arrest when they've committed a crime. What the hell is the point of law and order then?

Where is the line? Selling loosies to underage kids are fine. But then how far do you extend it?

I guess people like Goldfly/Zito/Sturg are perfectly ok wth criminals resisting arrest.

Man, its a shame what this country has become. No personal accountability at all.

My generation is really screwing up what this country was built on and stood for. So depressing.

And as long as goldfly wants to throw around his silly victim blaming nonsense, let's make one thing clear, it was absolutely Eric Garners fault that force had to be used against him. You resist arrest and force should/will be used. However, it was not his fault that excessive and unnecessary force was used. That falls on the officer.

Don't speed. If you do, the office may kill you. Now, he shouldn't do that - but, if you didn't speed, you wouldn't have gotten killed!

1. You're not a criminal until you're convicted of a crime, it's a core tenant of the US Justice system. Wrongful arrests happen all of the time. If someone resists there's an extra charge it happens, it's built into the system. I'm not "perfectly ok" with resisting arrest, it happens a lot and you're not supposed to choke someone out for it. By your logic if I get pulled over for speeding and mouth off to the officer he could smack the **** out of me for no reason because I'm not blindly obeying.

2. I hate the "my generation is ruining blah blah blah" **** that people my age say. You're way too ****ing young to understand ****. You're buying into the dumb **** that old people say is true. When they did the same **** back then.

3. I'm all for personal accountability, you're accountable for your actions, and that extends to the police too. You don't just get away with killing someone because you felt threatened. If you are threatened by someone who's unarmed, maybe you're in the wrong line of work.

Nobody is defending the amount of force used in this case. But it is a fact that if this guy didn't resist arrest everything would have gone smoothly. Its a shame this idiot cop didn't know how to handle himself in a calm situation.

This officer should be charged with something thats for sure. I would even be ok if he got some jail time for this. What he did was out of line.

Way to make a relevant argument as usual.

This is literally what you guys are doing.

You're saying "yeah, the cop was wrong sure… but if the other guy just obeyed the law, he would be alive."

You guys are basically letting the cop off with a slap of the wrist, but covering yourself with "it was an overreaction… but"

Seems like depriving someone of life is a greater offense against law and order—to say nothing of society—than is resisting arrest.

This guy barely resisted. The police were intimidated by his size and overreacted.

He was selling ****ing single cigarettes.

Stuff like this really pisses me off.
