Then you wouldn't want Chipper as your hitting coach. In many abs the first is the best pitch you will get to hit. Just swing at good pitches to no matter the count.

We all hate outs on the 1st pitch but I'm sure if the hitters knew they would make an out on the 1st pitch they wouldn't swing at it.
