Wasn't talking about this particular case. Just to Sturg's post that seems to encourage resisting arrest.
I honestly don't know much about this case, other than a couple articles I've read.
Jesus Christ, that wasn't an estimation. I was simply trying to illustrate that they are not common.

Again, I wasn't even talking about this particular case. Sturg made a sacrastic remark about not doing what the police tell you or the will kill you. My question is, why would you resist in the first place?

Is that he resisted arrest (which I disagree happened)
Instead of an overreaching govt that stopped a citizen in what sould be an illegal stop and frisk and ended up killing an unarmed American citizen is crazy talk
Not to mention that you are pretty much saying that you should bend the knee and kiss the ring whenever the govt says to do so imo
For the umpteenth time, I wasn't even talking about this particular case. I don't know enough about it to comment either way. But from what I do understand, the cop was completely in the wrong here.
Sturg's sarcasticly responded you should do what the police say, or they will kill you. My question was, what motivation, in general, would you have to resist arrest as Sturg obviously seems to be encouraging? Resisting arrest escalates an already tense situation and it is never going to end well for you. Even if you're competely innocent, resisting arrest is never the solution.
Complying with an officer is "bending over and kissing the ring" according to you? What's the point of even having cops then? Might as well let people police themselves and see how that works out.
