Duke, LaRoche, Samardjia, Robertson brought in so far.
Nasty rotation and a pretty good offense... Didn't see them making this many moves. LaRoche was a solid add to pair with Abreu
If confirmed, the A's will have their SS and Bassitt looks like a decent prospect. Curious to see who the third player will be.
Semien is more of a second baseman or third baseman. He's athletic but I don't think he will be the solution at short for the A's.
When you consider the draft pick they will get when Samardzija hits free agency, this is a very good trade for the White Sox.
The price for Samardzija seems pretty low. Semien, Bassitt and one more. One more data point about the buyer's market for pitching this off-season.
How years of control does Samarjalakjdasd; have again? Thats why the price was low.
One. The value of that draft pick though is pretty close to the value of the players they gave up.
No sense in making this another thread about Heyward despite how hard everyone attempts to do so.
It was a relevant joke regarding the buyer's market for pitching. We already let it go in this thread after ONE reply, so making an unnecessary comment about it like this only increases the chance that it will turn this thread into one about Heyward.
Oh come on now Dalyn. You know how easily it can escalate with even a "joke".
I've read a lot of writers comment that the sentiment around MLB is the Cards overpaid for Heyward.
So...suck it everyone.
