They would of probably made the Conference Finals at worst if Russ didn't go down.

Possibly the Finals.

The funniest thing is that if Russ doesn't get hurt then none of this is written because the thunder would have been in the finals. They were better than last year and the heat were worse so who knows what would have happens.

Do you have lotto numbers too?

Even without Harden, they were my pick (until Westbrook went down) — but nonetheless the Harden trade looked bad at the time, and looks worse now.

Of course it looks bad now. Presti traded for lottery tickets.

... and didn't really make the most inspiring selection this season.

And moreover, it looks worse for exactly the reason you state above: the Heat demonstrated in multiple playoff series how beatable they were this season. The Bulls played them competitively with Deng wasting away in a hospital thanks to spinal-tap complications, with Kirk Hinrich trapped in his customary well, and with all their non-Boozer front-court playing on janky feet. The Pacers took them to seven games. The Spurs should have beaten them.

Even supposing Westbrook still succumbed to his injury, a Harden–Durant–Ibaka-led team probably beats the Heat for the Championship, and they could have worried about choosing between Harden and Ibaka with rings on their fingers.

He's trying to hit a homerun. The other guys at that spot weren't inspiring either. Adams will be able to play in the dleague this year and improve. He has excellent athletic skills for a big man. Presti has to take risks in a small market close to the cap.

Clearly you didn't read the article, or just didn't understand it.

I agree Harden-Russ-KD is a better 3 over the current but there would be zero ball movement at all. And the only way they could of kept him was to sign him to a max.

Under the new CBA, not many teams have 4 near max players.

Doesn't the author say there is no ball movement now?

But also makes the point that they are still young and getting better. The offense had more movement last year than the two years prior. I expect it to be even better this year.

I don't think Harden, KD and Ibaka beat Miami.

NO way. You think one of your teams will be better?????

He said ball movement will be better which I'd agree with.

And is it that crazy with a team whose top 3 players haven't hit their primes yet will get a little better?
