Detroit waived Josh Smith...stupid contract from day one and we all know it

Wow that's crazy. I loved Josh in Atlanta, but he never seemed to understand that he needed to score in the paint. He shot way too many jumpers and he just fell off a cliff the last couple seasons.

Explain to me how the Hawks are a good team? Looking at all their players numbers, none of them look spectacular, looks like they can't score. Interested in how that works.

Also, is there a logical reason the Sixers signed a guy like Furkan Aldemir? I have no idea what kind of move it i
s. Just simply better than what they had? Some that might be a good bench player?

Budenholzer is a Poppavich disciple. He brought that type of offensive system to Atlanta. They players aren't flashy and they bought into the system. They share the ball as well as any team in the league. The spacing on the floor is remarkable too. They play solid defense as well. Millsap and Carroll have improved their outside shot since they arrived here. Korver is lights out too and of course that helps too. Their weakness is rebounding and the fact that they rely on jump shots a lot.

A lot of ex-Jazz men on the Hawks roster.

No surprise that the Jazz have gotten a lot worse as the Hawks have gotten a lot better as those guys have switched teams. Korver, Millsap, and Carroll are three extremely underrated players.

John Wall's mid-range game has really improved, but he was absolutely torched tonight by both Rose and Brooks.

Meanwhile: three-point shooting was very off tonight for the Bulls—and likewise their team free-throw percentage was uncharacteristically low—and yet they still make a pretty keen statement dispatching Washington on the second night of a back-to-back, on the road, with Butler having one of his worst offensive nights in recent weeks.

Atlanta has been relentless recently—and it's really nice to see Korver flourish in what has emerged as a team-leading role for him.

The East doesn't have near the one-through-ten depth of the West, but the top-five of the East have really come on in December and are looking pretty legitimate.

Watched a lot of the Bulls/wiz game. Bulls can absolutely beat any of the west teams. They are loaded.

Its so gratifying to see how good Korver has bec9me. Not from you of course but I remember being laughed at my the usual suspects including Zito when I praised him 4 years ago.

After watching the Bulls smack around the Clippers in LA, and now watching them in this second half against the Hawks, I really think they peaked last season.

They've had awful personal moves starting with tradtrading bledsoe.

Hawks have been on fire. And terrible spot scheduling wise for Clippers; they hd to be exhausted.
