So what more does Gore need to do to become a HOF worthy back? In this new passing era how many running backs are going to amass the yardage that Gore has?

Oh man, if the Shanny rumors to SF are true LOLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL at firing Harbaugh to hire him.

The front office botched this so bad. Its a joke they couldn't work this out. All it would have cost was money to keep Harbaugh. The whole season was a wash because the players knew he wasn't coming back. Everything was royally ****ed up. I have no confidence in this ownership group that they can find the secret sauce again regardless of how good Baalke is at picking players.

Dmitroff should be gone, too, but oh well. Maybe he'll be forced into having a really good draft.

I appreciate Smith's contribution's to the team, but he simply didn't have a clue too often this season. I think he fits better as an assistant.

Getting rid of Harbaugh, even with all that has went on, is a terrible mistake. You have to do whatever you can to mend that fence. Head coaches like that are hard to find.
At the same time, come on. Going back to college? You were a very successful NFL HC. Rub it in SF's face and turn around another team. Maybe there wasn't an NFL job he was too excited about, but he's a good fit anywhere, IMO. Any team looking for a coach would love to have him.

His act grew old very quickly. He rubbed people the wrong way and the front office didn't want to deal with his stubborn act any longer. He is a modern day Marv Levy and he couldn't win the big ones when they mattered most. In my opinion he isn't cut out for the NFL. He is a very good coach and was an important component in bringing the 49ers back to where they belong. With all his issues with the front office and everything else and not winning a ring, it's a pretty obvious choice what needed to be done. The guy who deserves most of the credit is DC Vic Fangio.

Guess I can lump you in that high percentage of fans who feel bad for Harbaugh. He shares the blame for the crap season that we had. He's getting a three million dollar pay bump per season and he gets to coach at his alma mater. He's one of the highest paid coaches in football and he has zero championships. Yeah he got a pretty bad deal.

49ers are going to see real quick just how much of the 49ers success was a reflection of Harbaughs coaching or Baalkes personal department.

Smith isnt a great coach but some of that is the talent level got worse and worse every year.

With bad drafts.

Why TD might stay but Smith goes is a mystery.

Would have kept Harbs.

One injury riddled year and now he cant coach when he lead them to 3 NFCCG's in his first 3 years.

If the problem was money then thats stupid, every team has loads of money since everyone is working under the same cap scale.

He'll be back in the NFL in 3-4 years once Michigan is relevant again.

Pumped about Suh.

Also, I would guess Harbaugh is overated as NFL coach. He hd a ton of talent on that team and is a scumbag that you have to deal with everyday. Kyle Shanahan would be a good fit, imo. They have stellar defense and he would bring awesome running game.

The record prior to Harbaugh showing up was 6-10....his first year? 13-3

Same QB and RB....pretty much the same WR core, 2010 WRs might have actually been better. Whitner and Rogers were added on D
