This! I'd like to see some braves comments on CB.

I didn't see an elite defender when I saw him last year. If he's not elite, why not use Gattis at Catcher. He's never going to be great, but our pitchers did ok with him back there. Gattis doesn't have a ton of catching experience so he could improve.

great arm, sloppy defender, that can't hit.........that's a once a week back up catcher. Not a guy you move Gattis to set up.

If you think the offense hinges on Bethancourt, you'd be wrong anyway. This offense seems putrid at first glance. I'd rather see what he can do and again I've seen him enough to know that he won't be as terrible as has been suggested. Then again, it may be fun to watch passed balls with Gattis if you're into that.

Even if his defense isnt as good as some say, its better than having Gattis there.

Gattis cant stay healthy playing catcher that is a fortified FACT.

But Gattis should be traded altogether before his value plummets, thats another story in itself though.
