REAL FOOTBALL Thread

The brief, light grab on Pettigrew as he is running did 100% nothing. The Lions, all-around, were terrible on that play, as they were for most of the 2nd half. Perhaps if the throw isn't terrible, or if Pettigrew doesn't play the ball terribly, or if he actually creates separation, (and nothing Hitchens did prevented this stuff, Stafford and Pettigrew did nothing right themselves) things would be different. They didn't play a better game. They mustered one FG, for a total of three points, the entire 2nd half. Stafford coughed up the ball TWICE in the 4th quarter. Give them a FG on that drive. They still lose. Stop taking away from the plays the Cowboys made that the Lions didn't. There were many. The Lions weren't the better team in the end.

I can play this game too.

If the Cowboys didn't rely on holding us the entire final drive, they lose.

That was fun

So to recap, the NFL has officially apologized for screwing up two calls (Defensive Holding on Dallas and Offensive holding on Dallas).

The NFL also has said they would have supported the DPI and Unsportsmanlike conduct on Dez - neither of which were called.

So that's 4 no calls in 2 of the last three drives of the game.

Heck, even the President of the United States has said we were hosed.

Ryan's interview ended after five or more hours, NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport reported, via a source informed of their situation.

The length of the interview is proof of mutual interest, even if both parties are moving on to their next round of interviews.

The Falcons still have an interview scheduled with Arizona Cardinals defensive coordinator Todd Bowles on Thursday, per Rapoport.

Rexy bringing a competent OC would be huge for you guys. I wonder if he would allow the OC to open up the offense to suit the talent.

Koetter is a fine OC, the Falcons offense opening up has to do with their OL. Right now Ryan is forced to stick to 3 step drops or he gets creamed. OL is much improved year to year despite the injuries and you hope that maybe Baker can be healthy next year, if he is and the center part of the OL stays healthy, we could have a solid OL. Our OL to end the year was something like Matthews, Blalock, Stone, Carimi, Schraeder. Not terrible but certainly upgradeable.

It certainly got better. Stone was more than serviceable last year...more so than Konz anyway. Asomoah would have made it even better. There is certainly room for improvement.

Per Rapoport, will conduct 2nd round of interviews and Ryan to be among them. Really hope Doug Marrone is not.

Cry for me, cryyyy

Jason Garrett has stated he sends in up to 10 disputed calls every week, and the league admits they were wrong in 70-80% of them.
Wahhhhhhhhhhhhh! The league wants us to lose!!

Should I start posting pictures of the the Lions OL holding?
Or the video of Parnell's helmet getting knocked off (all uncalled)?
We can still shot every play and there will be holding somewhere in a majority of them.
Lions offense stepped down altogether.
