REAL FOOTBALL Thread

It may not have been a concussion. But it certainly looked enough like one to warrant being evaluated.

I thought it was a good shot at a concussion. But as I understand protocol. If he doesn't leave the field on an injury or injury timeout they don't have to test.

He didn't call timeout bc by calling timeout, Seattle gets to set up a play and also gets 2 more cracks at the end zone. calling timeout means Seattle gets to use all 4 downs. By not calling timeout then Seattle has to use timeout if they run the ball on 2nd down and don't get the touchdown. Then they would have to throw on 3rd down without a doubt.

By not calling timeout, Belichek left Seattle less options. Seattle with less options is better than praying your team can score in under a minute with no timeouts.

I understand the logic, I just don't agree with it.

Without knowing the numbers, I'd have to assume that a team with 3 chances on the 1 yard line scores more than 80% of the time. BB has got to give his team a chance tie the game if they score.

All they really did by not calling a TO is force to Seattle to throw the ball on third down. Seattle still could have run on 2nd or 4th down and the clock would not have been of consequence.

It obviously worked out but I still don't get it.

This is funny coming from you.

Luck's defense gives up 40+ in the playoffs, he's a choker.

28 points is apparently too much now?

Not saying it's all Russ' fault but he had plenty of chances to end the game.

How many points did Luck put up? Just curious

How many turnovers did Luck's defense get? How much of a runnign game did luck have to cause a team to run blitz?

It was a 3 or 4 point game at the half, Luck couldn't do ****......stop with the stupid excuses. If Luck has a good game they don't lose by 40. If Luck has a good game it's close and they don't abandon the run.

Boom got 5.1 per carry and Lynch got 4.3

Which is all the more reason why Luck is important to their success. He played poorly and it was a result because of New England's defense and no other options on offense. He didn't have the luxury of a defense creating turnovers and a powerful running attack.

So you expect him to be perfect every game ?

Because that's wierd. Proven by your boy, just this week.

Regardless, Luck has MUCH worse of a supporting cast.

It's hilarious, brule, that you're attacking Luck's game when in that SAME week Wilson threw FOUR INTERCEPTIONS and still won because many players drive that team ahead of him.

There's a difference in how you play a sport when you've got the weight of the world on your shoulders vs when your job is just to not **** up too bad.

How good are Seattles WR's and TE's? Couldn't I say the same thing? Give Russell, Lucks weapons at WR and TE and he puts up more yards and they try to throw more.

LMAOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Playing in the SB isn't having the weight of the world on your shoulders? Bwahahahahahhaa

I don't think that play call to end the game is as bad as people make it out to be. If it's incomplete they can run it on third down, call a timeout and get a 4th down play off. It's a case of of it works your a genius of it doesn't your a moron. No one questions it if it works. A defender just made a great play. You can't coach scared of what might happen. You play to win, playing it safe does not work in the NFL.
