NBA Thread

How did Davis create any of his own oefense tonight? Did he initiate a pick and roll. Did he cross over a defebsder? Did he post anyone up? How exactly did he score tonight.

Plus Adams got some BS fold calls on him early when he was dojng a good job defending him. The refs were brutal in this game.

Honest answer. I didn't watch except for the last minute.

I just found it to be a great ending and Anthony Davis was tremendous. It was, you have to admit, an exceptional trolling moment. I really don't care to defend him as a player.

That was probably Russ's best game ever though right? He was incredible.

Davis is a fantastic player. I've never said otherwise. I just disagree that he is the type of player that can take over a game offensively by himself. He needs others to set him up. That isn't a knock on him. Kid is 21 years old. He has plenty of time ot develop that aspect of his already transcendent game.

Eh, I felt the games he had the two days before were better. I think he went into hero mode a bit much in the fourth last night. I think the offense needs to run through KD more and not just catch and shoots for him. But Russ is an amazing basketball player. He is a HOFer in his prime. Probably pound for pound the most athletic player that has ever played in the NBA or at lesat the most athletic really good player.

Sports center app on the GS game says "Are the Hawks for real?"

Still. They are going to have to go undefeated from here out for folks to buy in.

Playing out of their minds...

I think they are for real but it is fair to wonder how they do in the playoffs.

Please read. This was published this week from Kirk Goldsberry who,as we all know, is tremendous.

I would be interested to hear your comments on it

I read that article aleady. Grantland is a must read for any serious basketball fan.

I've never said that Davis is not going to develop these attributes. My point has always been clear in what he is right now. I have no doubt that someone has physically gifted as Davis will continue to get better just like KD did at the same age.

I need to see more of him to know what his ceiling is but from what I've seen I know he can be a good player. Probably a better version of Collison when he used to be good. Just worried McGarys career will be marred by injury. It's rare to have a big man who is skilled. It's a huge weapon to have one.

I love the ribbings I get in this thread but more often than not I'm right about basketball. At some point you guys will realize this.

Too early to say about McGary but he's a talented big.

Good passer, not a great defender, but great touch inside, good hands.

Saying he could be a better version of Collison if he's healthy isnt that absurd of a statement, he probably would have been a top 10 pick if he came out after his freshman year.
