I worry whenever any manager has to "manage" and I'm afraid we'll see a ton of that this season. A manager should be like a good defenseman in hockey. If they are doing their job, you never notice them.

I would change that to - If the players are doing their jobs well, you rarely notice the manager.
 
I'm not a Fredi hater but he could do with some extra work on his speaking skills. His fluency is impressive but public speaking is another skill altogether. His habit of jabbering on and on, saying the same thing 2 or 3 different ways, does not instill confidence in the fan base. I think he would sound a lot smarter if he slowed down a little. Less is more.
