Spring Training 2015

First play was miss communication with Perez. Still could have taken charge morw. But he is hitting and flying around the bases.

Got another hit and scored on Freddie's HR. I think he's been pretty good, given age and experience.

He'll look good batting seventh, which is probably the best place for him. Single or double. #8 can bunt him over. And the pitcher has the best chance in the lineup (other than Freeman) to knock him in. Have Markakis #1 cause he's probably third in that category behind the pitcher. #MukakiRebuild

Smith having a good day with the bat, three hits today. Perez also is 1-2 with a BB, hitting .308 so far this Spring Training. I still like Perez more than EY Jr. but the latter is getting all the talk so far.

Smith seems to be showing good range and made some big plays in CF despite the error early today.

I'm really liking the options the Braves have accumulated. Its true that they need another true impact hitter in the lineup but it may end up that is all they need moving forward.

Is the trampoline and elephant regular season only?

Here you go..........

I'd like to see Russell stretched out as a starter to either join the 5th SP competition or be the long man in the pen.

@mlbbowman
James Russell, who had been battling turf toe, felt good after yesterday's 30-pitch live BP. He's still hoping to be used as a starter.

#Braves have 32 walks and 45 strikeouts, the best ratio in majors this spring

Spring stats mean little, but it's at least worth noting: #Braves lead majors with 10 steals in 8 games entering Wednesday.

A sign of things to come in the future?
