Ok, a better question.....what NBA players care that Salt Lake is a beautiful city?

I just don't think it matters as much anymore in the current time. Sure, it will always matter to some. It just depends on the type of person you are.

Nobody ever talks about are players going ot leave Memphis and they are the smallest market in the sport. Its all about perspective if you ask me.

Only guy I can think of that wanted to leave Utah was Deron.

It's a good question, but Exum and Gobert are under contract another 4 years. Not really relevant at this point.

True. It's a matter if they want to focus on grooming young players and trying to compete that way or not.

thethe, you really comparing Memphis to Salt Lake City?

It's a cool place for sure. How many NBA players enjoy the Mormon culture of Salt Lake City? What about the lack of publicity players in Utah get?

What is Mormon culture? I've lived in Philadelphia, Long Island, Palo Alto, and Salt Lake. There's not a significant difference between any of those cities except as you got closer to NYC. You may have an argument for lack of African Americans, but I don't think Mormon culture scares anyone anymore than being afraid of New York because of the "Jewish culture".

Publicity, sure. It obviously was the reason Deron Williams wanted out of Utah. But in the NBA with Bird rights teams tend to be able to keep their own. Utah is no exception. If players stay in Memphis, OKC, Indiana, etc. that have the same size or smaller markets than Utah, then that leads me to believe it's Utah can keep their own too like they always have.

I just don't tet what's the big deal. Players don't even reside in one location anyway. The world is their oyster

Huh, do you think African Americans fit in in Salt Lake City?

I agree, Utah will be able to hang on to their guys for a few years. I question when they are looking at their next big contract, if they will be able to do so. The best thing for them would be able to really perform and compete in the West in the next couple years before the contracts come due and make the team a desirable team to play.

.

For some yes. For others no. For as long as I can remember I can't think of too many people that have played in Utah that have left that the Jazz didn't want back. Deron Williams is the only one and he played 6 seasons in Utah. Also screw Deron Williams.

Obviously, all things equal players will choose Miami, New York, Los Angeles, etc. In the NBA though, things aren't equal. Treat players well and have a good culture and players will stay.

He got you Favors. You should love him.

And he got you guys Kanter haha.

I'm ok with Kanter. I think there is still a lot of untapped potential. He isn't a stud or anything but I'm still satisfied. He's an upgrade for OKC at the big position. He was a downgrade for Utah but they probably have the best frontline in basketball if you ask me.

He cant protect the rim so he is worthless. :)

I know you are messing around but he fits on OKC since Ibaka is one of those rare PF that can stretch the floor and still be an elite rim protector. Even with that, Kanter is a disaster in PnR.

I didn't see anything out of Okafor yesterday that changed my mind on him.

He basically looks like Enes Kanter to me.

Come on, you are trying to save face now. He dominated.

Those Notre Dame front line guys were HUGE! I can't believe he scored so well!

Again, I think Okafor will be able to score in the pros. That has never been disputed.

How many points did ND score in the paint yesterday?
