You don't know this about any of the players. It's projections. I don't think any of us on this board arequalified enough to project college players as NBA players.

I love watching Towns play and I've seen him a ton. If you take him over Okafor, that's fine....but it's with a big risk as he's a very high ceiling, but not a sure thing. Whereas, you can plug Okafor into the starting lineup right now and get a productive big man.

Productive big man just offensively. The little I've seen of Okafor leads me to believe he is going to struggle defensively unless he drastically changes his body in the pro's. He may score 15-18 points per game as a rookie but how many does he give back not being able to defend the PnR?

I never have. But, out of the 2, you know you are going to get offensive production out of one of them.

The game I watched he was stuggling to run up and down after three possessions and trailed on the play which resulted in an easy layup. He is soft and needs to get into a professional workout. These comments have already been made on him.

Didn't we hear the same argument about Wiggins and Parker in that Parker is so much more polished offensively than what Wiggins was in college?

The odds are pretty good that they both are going to be good in some capacity. They are both ranked first and second for good reason.

for different reasons. One because of upside and future projection. The other bc he's going to be an offensive force.

Parker was a more polished offensive player/better shooter with better handles. The offense at Kansas went through other guys and Wiggins got a lot of his buckets off offensive rebounds. Parker was the focal point for Duke and could post up, get in transition, or shoot from the outside. Wiggins was more of a threat in transition. The concern with Wiggins is he doesn't assert himself.

The fact that giles and I don't understand how basketball is played.

You can spin whatever you want, the one constant is you need 1 or 2 superstars, after that......you can play however you want.

Exactly, pretty simple right?

Did the Spurs / Lakers / Heat do it the same way? No.......so again, get your 2 superstars and surround them.
 
Pretty much figured Ibaka would be out, the way this season has gone.

Fully expecting Russ to get hurt again and KD to be shut down for the year.

And probably a few others will get hurt to boot.
 
So once Cleveland gets eliminated from the playoffs I just assume the NBA will cancel the remainder of the playoffs. Instead of finishing the games they will air some Cleveland regular season games.
