Never said it was marginal. It's something that if it happened wouldn't negatively impact many businesses as 10 an hour is a pretty standard rate.
And again, McDonalds isn't cheap, burger king isn't cheap. Have you seen what they charge? It's lower than most sit down places, but its' not by that much. Taco Bell, that's cheap.
And Budweiser isn't drunk simply because it's cheap. Natty Ice is cheap, Keystone is cheap, PBR is routinely cheaper than Bud and tastes much better. Bud doesn't sell because it's cheap. Being cheap is part of it's draw, but lets do a different soak ttest. Go to a baseball game, at CBP. buy a bud for like 6.75 or you can get say Flying Fish for 7.25. What would make you choose a vastly inferior product when for only 7% more you can get something vastly superior. Nowhere else do you see that. You're not gonna get a porterhouse for 7% more than ground chuck. Doesn't exist anywhere else, but Bud is still the top seller. Part of that can be attributed to vendors carrying beer around. But that doesn't explain people going to someplace that has both and walking out with bud. To pick on another one, why do people buy Blue Moon when there's always a better local option. To pick on where I live, ALlagash White is greatly superior to Blue Moon, not even remotely comperable, they're priced similarly, but Blue Moon outsells Allagash White. Why is that? Why does Corona outsell Sam Adams? THey're similar priced, why does mexican piss water outsell something decent? It's because of, wait for it. Advertising!
