With all the teams with cap space + Gasol/LMA/Butler all probably going back to their teams....someone is going to max Kanter and we will all laugh.

I think that team is going to be OKC with the hopes it shows KD that this is the place to be moving forward. Just have no clue if the team is willing to pay the tax at all. History tells us clearly no.

Yeah, its an issue. I wouldn't give Kanter the max but I think some team is going to force OKC's hand and with the way the offense has exploded since he was acquired the Thunder might not have a choice. Just hope pairing him with Ibaka helps neutralize his awful defense. If RW had been playing with Kanter from the beginning the whole perception of "selfish" Russ would be different. I've said many times throughout the years that RW lost 2-3 assists PER GAME because of how awful Perkins was and to a lesser extent Ibaka offensively. Its really showing right now.

And he probably gained 2-3 from playing with the best offensive player of the past decade.

Durant is at his best on the ball (even though he can play off the ball). You don't get credit for cheapies anymore but just passing to a guy and then he does a couple of moves and scores. Its not what you think with that. RW's assists are SKYROCKETING without KD on the floor. Yes, a lot of that is usage but its getting to be ridiculous right now.

A quick surface look at the stats shows that it's almost exclusively from a higher usage rate.

Really think the Sixers sold high on MCW. Noel has been a beast since the trade, and MCW really isn't that good of a player.

Boogie had a big game last night, but the Sixers were a +7 with Nerlens on the floor and he had 6 blocks. He's really gotta get thicker, but he's 20 and a rookie.

Noel is going to be a stud. Legit max player. I think he has some offensive potential as well. Quick movement and soft touch around the rim. Not sure if you can play him and Embid together but if you get the #1 pick this year yoiu have to take one of the guards. You don't need Towns or Okafor. I think its going to turn around quickly with the Sixers. Not sure when that is going to be but when it does its going to shock a lot of people. For a team losing so much they are really exciting to watch.

Dude.........

110% he will be a max player. Have you watched him play at all this year? As a scrawny 20 year old he is already one of the top 5-10 defensive players in the league and his offense is coming.

He's 20 and he's not close to a max player.....he's going to be very good on D but he's close to a zero on O.

65% at the rim
29% 3-10 feet
31% 10-15 feet
45% from the floor
60% from the line

Its his rookie season. Those percentages will go up based on the few games I've seen of Philly. He doesn't need to be a huge plus on offense to merit a max deal. And if he is able to put on 10 more LBS of solid weight without losing his leaping ability then he is going to be an absolute terror.

You may have seen him at Kentucky but so far in the NBA he is flashing some offensive promise.

There is a slight uptick independent of usage rate. (A very slight one).

But for the year on the whole, his increased assist rate is due almost entirely to a higher usage rate.

Which should indicate a good thing right since the best offensive player in basketball really hasn't played with him yet right?

More weight will help a lot of things in his game. His defense is only going to continue to get better, and his offense the last month has taken a step forward. He gets bullied by guys like Cousins sometimes, but he's smart and still knows how to hold his own and block shots. He is an amazing shot blocker.

From the handful of 6er games I've seen, why anyone would watch them is beyond me, he's the same player. Which isn't to knock him, he was a terror at Kentucky....he needs to make leaps and bounds in his offensive game to even start thinking about being a max player. Again, this is you overreacting with the rim protection stuff....no one is maxing Noel with his current skill set.

Noel will be maxed and his offense has already grown since the start of the season.

Not saying I agree that he will be a max player, but thethe is assuming some improvement on the offensive end, and the potential is definitely there for it. And he's legitimately really good defensively. Already.
