2015 Braves predictions

73 wins. The starting pitching gets the team wins into the 70s while the offense fails to produce. The bullpen regresses outside of Kimbrel. Jose Peraza comes up in June and proves to be a Rafael Furcal type player. People start questioning whether Bethancourt hits enough to stay in the starting lineup.

In July, the lineup is:

Peraza

Upton

Freeman

Gomes

Markakis

KJ

Simmons

Bethancourt

You think KJ will be in over Peterson?

I see the Braves finishing with somewhere between 72-78 wins. They will still be in it come September but be a real long shot.

Interesting. Don't you think it makes more sense to platoon him at third and see what Peterson can do over a full season?

I do. But, I think Peterson will struggle and Fredi and company will panic and send him back down.

And considering your win total you think Fredi will manage another terrible September?

I see between 70-75 wins! I think the pitching will be solid, but I think we will see a good bit of struggling offensively.

BUT, it'll be a lot more fun to watch these guys this year than last year.

I've read this 100 different places and it cracks me up everytime. This team is not going to be fun at all. The only fun it will be is that I'll be doing something else on my summer nights while we're 20 games out of first place.

Im not sure where the fun comes in either. Maybe if you have a lineup with Freeman, Peraza, Peterson, um um, well, uh and a few other young guys that don't come to mind right now?

What is the fun in watching Betancourt, Simmons, CJ, Gomes, Upton, Young, Markakis hit?

Yeah... Heyward is more fun than Markakis. JUp is more fun than Gomes. And Gattis is more fun than Bethancourt.

It's gonna be a long season

Heyward was more frustrating than fun honestly. Everytime he was up I felt like he was going to smash the ball and then it didn't happen. I hope he finds a way to get his power back.

Yeah but with Heyward you would always stop to watch.

I might flip the channel on Markakis

Agreed. I always wanted to see Heyward do something excited. Sadly, he hasn't put it together yet consistently at the plate.

But your dislike for Markakis has more to do with the fact that he replaced a favorite player as opposed to Markakis himself. If he hits this year I think most Brave fans will be excited to see him hit. The same applies for anyone.

I can understand the logic of dealing Heyward... Don't agree with it, but understand it.

I don't understand the Markakis signing. And my dislike for him has nothing to do with Heyward, it's that we gave a lot of money to someone who is not good. Yet we wouldn't give a lot of money to someone like Heyward or Olivera. Just made no sense to me.
