And why exactly does everything have to be quantifiable to be considered a legit argument in baseball anymore?
It's not impossible for Melvin to get back closer to his pre-Atlanta norms. Not saying I expect a moderately big improvement, but it could happen, I think.
I think so, too. Of course, I thought the same thing last year. ;-)
We will see if Seitzer can walk on water I suppose.
There was talk last week from the Cards side that Upton was a candidate to be released. Personally I don't believe it or it would've already happened.
So when does the season start?
Nats clinched yesterday.
I'm sure he'll have all his bible study groups praying for Melvin. We will see if Seitzer can walk on water I suppose.
Yeah but his gripping tick looks a LOT better. He's made an adjustment to the better.Heyward has 1 XBH this spring![]()

Well this 4 wk stretch is way better than anything Melvin has done in 2 years.
Well Russell's been given the heave ho.
Braves To Release James Russell
By Zach Links [March 29, 2015 at 8:05am CDT]
The Braves have released left-hander James Russell, according to Mark Bowman of MLB.com (via Twitter). The Braves will owe him roughly $600K.
On Saturday, Bowman indicated that Russell could be released due to his struggles this spring. Luis Avilan also impressed in recent weeks as Russell faltered, which didn’t help the 29-year-old’s cause.
We would have had to pay him $2,425,000 instead of now owing him $606,000, saving us $1,819,000, quite a nice chunk of change. Wonder what we might do with it.
