Yes, but Kony was the leader of the LRA. The lord's resistance army. A fundamentalist christian and african mysticism group who believed in making laws based only on local customs and the 10 commandments. Sound like something you know?

How is it grasping at straws? Do you not see the issues with Africa and any religions? They use religions as a justification for terrorism, whether it's Islam or Christianity. Sorry if you don't read up enough on it.

It's grasping at straws when you resort to reaching back into the archives to find a group that a) became nefarious in 2012 and b) practiced 'mysticism' to try to prove a weak point that all terrorism in Africa is somehow attached to religion.

How about all of the attacks which have occurred in the past 2 years?

It sounds to me like you need to educate yourself much more thoroughly on the current situation on the ground in Africa (Read up on what just happened in Nigeria as well because that's also some food for thought,) especially as it relates to the rapid spread of fundamentalist Islam -- especially before calling the attack in Kenya 'tribal warfare', and then randomly blaming Christians, too.

You exposed your ass the moment you decided to choose that path in this discussion.

While its worse now (because of Iran) than it was when Saddam was there I still believe that there was plenty of unchecked territory that Islam held a presence.

Its so sad how misguided he is because he can't admit that what he has been saying all along about Islam is wrong. He wants to find a way to pin it on the US.
