*OPENING DAY* 4/6/'15: Atlanta Braves (Teheran) @ Miami Marlins

I like JT going 7. Slow him down later in the year, if necessary.

I look at managing Julio in the same prism as every other move this season. Wins and losses mean absolutely nothing and in reality more losses are better. Its all about the future and Julio is probably the single most important part of that future.

Its the first start of the season. No reason to have Julio pushing 100 pitches. Just stupid in a worthless season.

Joe, dude: the answer to dealing with bunting situations in a loaded lineup is not to create a worse lineup: the answer is to ensure all your sluggers can bunt. It's like he thinks having a quality lineup is a handicap ...

Yea, you don't push him that hard game one given the pitch count and earlier rain delay Now with our bullpen it will likely get ugly.

I understand, but 100 pitches isn't going to blow the guy's arm up. Wainwright went 101 last night, and I'll bet he'd have started the next inning if he didn't have a 3-run lead.

I'm not advocating ignoring his IP or pitch count, I just think Julio was fine, at 89 pitches, to start the inning.
