GDT: 4/7/'15 - Atlanta Braves (Wood) @ Miami Marlins (Latos) 7:35PM EST

Because he's already at 5th starter level. Have you WATCHED him pitch? The guy has great command that will grow into elite with a little experience, and he has the build and delivery made for stamina and health.

I've only seen him a little bit, Dalyn, but I believe you're right. He can hit a gnat in the ass from 60 feet. I really like that. And if it's true, he might be a freak.

Nice to see Bethancourt take the walk. I worry about him having a Francoeur-ish approach. Not a lot of Ks, but not a lot of BBs.

That is an interesting comp because like Frenchy I've long thought Bethancourt looks much better vs lefties but too often terrible vs righties. I am not saying he has similar splits I am just speaking from all the AB's I've seen from him in minors and Majors.

The way wins are allocated to defense is completely bunk. But, defense is not overrated at all...especially Heywards. But, we got a potential #2 for Heyward for 4 years plus a really interesting prospect and replaced him with a guy who will be a above average hitter for the next 4 years. Eventually Nick wil move to LF and his defense will hurt less.

Sounds about right.

Yep. The biggest test for him will be his nerve. If he can get off to a good start and get some confidence, he'll flourish.
