GDT: 4/7/'15 - Atlanta Braves (Wood) @ Miami Marlins (Latos) 7:35PM EST

So ANYTHING critical spoken about the team, or in defense of the old regime, is all because of Jason Heyward... Makes this board a dumb place to participate in

I know it is two games, but Seitzer well, he is preaching pretty good.

I would slap doubles for days if we win, so what if the chicks dig the long ball.

Success (even incidental success) can make people listen and give them a boost.

Marlins have a solid ball club. Getting Fernandez back in June will be huge. I am certain they will win more than us this year.

You are probably right. Tonight that doesn't matter. We won 2-1 and we kicked their ass scoring 12 small ball runs. Boooooommm

Nobody personifies the new approach better than Simba. He looks fan-****ing-tastic out there staying on balance with quick hands and ripping the ball back through the middle.

I believe I've got a partial.

I think Seitzer may be, to borrow a phrase, the right guy at the right time. This is a team full of guys who can benefit from the approach he preaches.

I just can't wait till he gets to work with Peraza/Smith. Those are the guys that fully need to embrace this approach. Its going to be crazy fun to have guys with that type of speed all over the lineup.

THe most impressive these last two games, Well Dunn notwithstanding, these guys take a lot of pitches, some borderline. Then they foul off a lot. Last year, blow by and make a 180 to the dugout.

They are willing to go the other way on every at-bat and I love it. Fight it off approach.

Swinging for the fences is a thing of the past. If you run into some homers thats great.

Let's not go crazy. I don't want Jace and EY and Maybin and Nick the Stick swinging for the fences. But if this team had a Justin Upton or Evan Gattis in the middle of the order, you're damn right I want that sumbitch swinging for the fences.

So you came back here to show us how much you've been reading Bill Shanks? :)

Am I wrong? Was the minor league system flourishing under Wren? Ever since Wren signed BJ I turned on him. I just couldn't believe he thought it was a good idea to put him on the same team as Uggla. He did some good thing in his time here but the reason we had to rebuild was because of his overall performance as GM

I hope the hitting instructors in the minors are teaching Seitzer's approach so they're fully indoctrinated to "The Braves Way" of hitting.
