Responding to having guys with tons of power and tons of K by saying, 'Give me guys with no power who can't hit but don't K' is stupid, yes.

it's not what I think we're doing, though.

We just need good hitters. Guys like Ruiz and hopefully Paroubeck fit that mold.

thethe never said no power, we need a couple power bats moving forward but if your entire lineup is based off homers, it's too easy to pitch against come playoff time/vs elite guys.

Guys that make weak contact and just put the ball in play get eat up as well. I think a team just needs good hitters however they come.

Problem with Gattis is he's a DH. I didn't have a problem with him, but he's a man without a position in the NL. I was fine with JUp. Didn't love him as much as many (and I'm sure that keeps him awake at nights), but he's good.
