It's OVER 5,000!
That's funny, what do you think Gomes is defensively? He's as much a DH type as anyone.
Quentin is far, far worse.

Quentin can't even man LF as a butcher. He literally got so bad that he is now strictly a 1b/OF. Gomes may suck, but Quentin is a whole new level of suck.
Also, do people not realize that Quentin was worse than BJ in 2014?
Gomes really hasn't been that far away from Quentin even as an offensive player throughout their careers. Gomes has a career .776 OPs and Quentin is at .831
Both were terrible last year, with Quentin being about .100 OPS points worse.
Is there really enough offensive improvement there to warrant exchanging a really good clubhouse presence with a really bad clubhouse presence?
Sure by some miracle Quentin could rebound, but so could Gomes as well.
So without even taking defense into account, I don't think there's a justification to swap the two.
No, he is ONLY a DH. He cannot be put out in the OF. That is why no NL team wants him. Gomes is bad. Quentin is not even passably bad. Plus, HE CAN'T STAY HEALTHY. You cannot put him out there to be terrible for even 80 games, because he will get hurt doing so. At least Gomes will play and mash lefties.
