What's with the quotes...he's a doctor...

Since 2005 Rand Paul has not been certified by any board recognized by the state of Kentucky, and since 2011 has had no certification since the NOB was dissolved. I asked Rand Paul’s staff a series of questions, trying to determine why he still held himself out as a “certified” ophthalmologist:

I know these people probably deserve to have the government step in an smack them a good one, but I just really prefer the Rosa Parks approach to this. People from all walks of life are getting way too used to the government solving their problems for them. Now there are some areas where the government pretty much has to be the "referee" but in this sort of situation I think a good old fashioned boycott would work best and it would also sorta force more regular people to take ownership in what's going on in their country. This sort of thing (good ole fashioned major league level boycott) could do a LOT of good things in this country. I wish we had more of them.

Rosa Parks would have been a black woman in jail for riding a white bus without the Civil Rights Act. Take it a step further. Without the CRA, we would have seen riots and fighting in the south for a long time, probably forcing our government if called upon by the racist states to stand with them to put down the "insurgency"

Whom do you want smacked? And why exactly?

Once you get a doctorate you're a doctor, whether you practice or not.

For example, my brother is a pharmacist, he's got a doctorate, he's a doctor.

and if someone needs a doctor for a medical emergency and people scream for a doctor

most of these people aren't going to be able to help

thus in my eyes, they aren't really a doctor

yes, i know and understand what you are saying

i'm just saying though

You must comply. You must submit. You must condone. You must approve. Or, you can not operate in the public sector. You can not have a business permit. You can not publicly express disapproval. Go in peace.

yeah, welcome to society.

if you want your version of Iran or Saudi Arabia but Christian, I am sure there are some islands out there that aren't claimed still today or that could be bought to start such a thing

i personally wouldn't want a gov't or court system or society built off religious text though

Yeah, because of SSM advocates targeting one.

They weren't "advocates" they were a couple requesting a service then denied their civil rights.
Along the lines of denying someone service at a lunch counter for being ...

If you use the roads and sidewalks of USA you are expected to adhere to societal rules and laws.
Not sure the beef. Unless it is "persecuted christian syndrome".

Not expected -- required

Homosexuality is covered under civil rights? When did that happen?

Longstanding Colorado state law prohibits public accommodations, including businesses such as Masterpiece Cakeshop, from refusing service based on factors such as race, sex, marital status or sexual orientation. Mullins and Craig filed complaints with the Colorado Civil Rights Division (CCRD) contending that Masterpiece had violated this law. The CCRD ruled that Phillips illegally discriminated against Mullins and Craig. In December 2013, Administrative Judge Robert Spencer of the Colorado Office of Administrative Courts issued a decision confirming that finding. Masterpiece Cakeshop appealed Spencer’s ruling to the Colorado Civil Rights Commission. The Commission discussed the matter at a public hearing on May 30, and issued a decision at a public hearing on May 30, 2014.

Because someone shouldn't be shouting for a doctor they should be shouting for a physician or medical doctor, but it's become such a classic thing because of media. I wouldn't want Stephen Hawking giving me CPR, but he's a doctor.

You are such a totalitarian. It isn't even funny.

If they aren't advocates (and if advocates weren't ready to rally) then they'd just have taken their business elsewhere. No substantial burden was placed on them. Nope.

I really don't believe you don't know the beef by now. No, I believe you are merely wanting to legalize/enforce your own intolerance.

And of course the question is whether or not that includes all services. If it does then it has been clearly shown that that statue isn't being enforced equally. I believe that proof has already been shown in this thread. And I don't believe you were very concerned.
