REAL FOOTBALL Thread

TB paid the guarenteed portion (4 mil). He has 8 mil and 7.5 mil cp hits the next two years. So its a one year deal with low salary in exchange for moving from 6th to 7th round.

Declining player but an upgrade at FS for u in a 1 year stop gap role. Allows us to not be forced to draft Collins and can draft more of a project that could benefit from a year playing STs.

Can truly draft BPA

Collins is more of a SS, so i dont see how that has to do with anything.

I'd take one of the pass rushers if i was the Skins.

I'm actually a little surprised. Lots of circumstantial evidence. And he's rich. Shocked OJ got off but he didn't. Guess OJ was better at getting lawyers.

Yeah, I know what you mean. I thought there was a chance he'd get off. But I guess the evidence was damning enough.

I mean he was going to jail. Mass has really tough gun laws that he clearly broke. But I wasn't sure he'd get murder charges. But apparently Mass has a law that if you can prove someone committed murder in a group, it doesn't matter which individual did it or some **** like that. Basically if they oculd prove Hernandez was there, they had an easier job.

Between Darren Sharper and Aaron Hernandez , we have had a strong reminder that athletes aren't just video game characters.

Disgusting.

Greg Hardy suspended 10 games

Yep. Just saw it. Knew a significant suspension was coming. Just too much surrounding the situation for there not to be one. Don't think I can argue with it.

In a bit of irony, his first game after the suspension would be against the Panthers on Thanksgiving.

First let me say I think the guy is probably guilty and if so he deserved more punishment than this, but is there any actual evidence, pictures, etc.,? I have no sympathy for woman beaters, but to be honest Goodell is right down there with them IMO.

Yes and there were witnesses. But, when you can pay someone to go away, then the charges go away as well

Sometimes they do, sometimes they don't. Like I said I don't defend someone who would do this sort of thing, but surely you would admit that had almost anyone other than Goodell made this decision it would seem more reasonable (assuming the same exact penalty). Let us not forget the slap on the wrist he gave Ray Rice until the video got out for everyone to see, that he had already seen numerous times. I say we banish both of them (Hardy and Goodell) permanently.

Yeah I think the NFL is going to try to guard against another Ray Rice situation. Domestic violence is going to get you in big trouble.

It should but you and I both know nobody outside of Pittsburg or NY or NE really has any reason to trust anything Goodell, even when he might be right. His credibility is right there with Putin IMO
