The fact is that Goodell punished one team disproportionate to other teams. Those are words straight from Rogers hand picked arbiter who is probably the most biased person in favor of the NFL as possible. Might as well have picked his momma. I don't think anyone was arguing otherwise. But don't act like the Saints were squeaky clean. What they did was in fact despicable. Regardless if other teams have done it or not, it is not legal in the NFL.

Wasn't that bad and the Bucs had room to play with. As I understand it, Bucs save pretty much nothing this year, but a decent chunk the next 2 years.

TB paid the guarenteed portion (4 mil). He has 8 mil and 7.5 mil cp hits the next two years. So its a one year deal with low salary in exchange for moving from 6th to 7th round.

Declining player but an upgrade at FS for u in a 1 year stop gap role. Allows us to not be forced to draft Collins and can draft more of a project that could benefit from a year playing STs.
