4/27/15 MLB GAME THREAD Braves/Nats: Markakis still at the top - Peterson batting 7th

I'm not going to get in this discussion again.

Fair enough. I just don't believe that Freddie be upset with the front office as much as the situation in general. And hey, maybe he is just upset at the situation. I just worry that he is harboring ill will towards John ^2.

Who would blame Freeman for being pissed? He was talked into signing away the prime of his career to be on a perennial winner... and one year later they tore the place to the ground

He needs to take a cue from Liberace:

I don't see the issue with Freeman's performance that others are seeing. I'm seeing a guy who is hitting the ball hard a lot. He's not hugging as much because his mom probably told him not to hug strangers

Cunniff pitched in 9th for Gwinnett tonight, he wasn't good as he gave up two hits and a walk but got out of a bases loaded jam thanks to a line out that turned into a DP. Maybe he was just rusty from not warming up and pitching every day in Atlanta. :)

I don't know what the "sales pitch" was to our guys given long term extensions but even a mild dose of realism would dictate that when a team collapses as badly as the Braves did last September, serious changes will (and should) be made.

Yup. Freddie needs to grow up and realize this is a business. Braves are paying him handsomely and are building a team for long sustained success just as he enters his prime. He should be thrilled.

I had no idea this quote was attributable to Liberace, but now that I know that it is I will definitely make a point to use it more often.

Yes, my good friend Lee (I mean all his friends called him Lee) responded that way after a reporter asked him how he felt about the reviewers who said he was selling out.

AJ looked like he was telling Stults "sorry, buddy, you ****ed up. Try throwing it at the target next time. K, good game"

I mean... it was 2 months people. That doesn't erase the previous 4 years.

But whatever. Freeman should be thrilled this year as we compete for high draft picks and play in front of 15K people per night.
