I don't know what McDowell did to fix Carpenter but whatever he did worked quite well.

Getting Wood on the team probably helped. Gave him a sense of purpose.

McDowell is a great pitching coach. Amazing he was getting run out of town his first couple of years here.

They ruled that an error? Simmons hit that ball hard and he barely got a glove on it. That's a hit. Simmons has had hits like this taken away all season it seems.
