5/25/'15: GDT - Atlanta Braves @ L.A. Dodgers

The late scratch aspect of this whole thing is what's intriguing since we have a shorthanded bench. If it's not injury related, the circumstances seem more like a trade. Fat chance someone would want to trade for Bert though.

Yea, that was my thinking too. But I guess maybe someone might take Callaspo if it's a trade that includes another player coming to them with him. A trade where he's a throw in basically and salary probably the same with us taking back someone that makes similar. That is the only way I see him traded.

Peterson may not be this good at the plate...but I don't see how we get better production out of 2B from Peraza.

Maybe it gets better with Peterson at 3B and Peraza at 2B given how bad our 3B have been......

Maybe we should consider moving Peraza off second.

This is why I see little wisdom in rushing Peraza to Atlanta. Give him all the PAs necessary to prove beyond a shadow he's ready for the bigs, while giving Peterson the whole 2015 season to prove his bat can allow his glove to stick full-time at 2B.

Someone asked me recently who's better defensively at second, Peraza or Peterson. I told them it's a tough call but that so far this year Peterson has been better than Peraza from what I've seen watching them both a lot. I believe both can give us plus defense at second though. So I am not knocking Peraza's defense I am more praising Peterson's.
