Gomes is hitting .308 with a .890 OPS vs lefties. It's not his fault Fredi uses him too much, esp. vs righties. Gomes is a fine bench bat to start some games vs lefties and pinch hit. But you don't pinch hit him for a hot Cunningham in a 7-5 Braves game like crazy Fredi did.

That was partly my point, you must consider both the fact that Cunningham is great defensively in LF and Gomes is DH type bad, plus Cunningham being hot is another reason to keep him in there. It was a stupid move by a bad manager.
