Playing the Waiting Game
Folty in the pen with his fastball would be something to watch if Wisler and Perez stay decent in the rotation. Plus, Weber, Kelly, and Carpenter in the AAA pen all could help too.

Faulty needs to be in the bullpen if he's in Atlanta. The bullpen is lacking a hard throwing guy.

Folty would probably have more value in a trade than in our bullpen. I don't think he'd been much better out of the pen than he was last year for Houston at this point. This is partly why he'd be the one I'd include in a big trade for say Lucroy for example.

BTW, that deke by Simmons on the infield grounder by Ciriaco turned out to be a huge play in this game. It set-up Jace scoring both players.

Jace roommate in AAA was Wisler and they got drafted together, they're apparently very close so he probably really wanted to come through even more for him.
I guess, but it would have been real, real dumb to take him out with fewer than 80 pitches thrown.

As a posibrave the most absurd thing I could possibly say is that I'm really happy we have Cameron Maybin going forward this year instead of Craig Kimbrel. Yet, I'm kind of glad we have Maybin instead of Kimbrel. I'm also kind of glad we have Peterson instead of Justin. I like the KJ/Gomes Platoon in left with Peterson at 2B. I think it's better than what we had last season. I would have never have said these things before the season started yet... f' it I'm saying it.

Agreed. I thought it was strange to give Fredi such props for not doing something stupid. His pitch count was very low, shoot he could've went 9 inning most likely tonight.

Jace has been both a doubles and walking machine lately, y'all already noted those stats I know. But he's also now second on the team with 26 walks despite having considerably less AB's than both Markakis and Freeman.
