Yea, that was not Simmons' best swing — and it's a shame, too, because if he takes that pitch he'd have put himself in good position to work a walk and ensure that Minor wouldn't be leading off the next inning.

Great, bottom of order couldn't even clear Minor again. Anyone notice how bad Uggla has been at the plate lately? His average will be under .190 soon at this rate.

I was worried about Minor's pitch-count after LaRoche reached again to leadoff, but he really salvaged things quickly and (hopefully) may make it through six now.

Yea, you knew that once Dan got that ball to him that was an easy DP.

Nats have a horrible offense. They are going to need to figure something out this offseason or they are going to be right back in the same position next year. Zimmerman is almost done being an elite player if he isn't already. Harper will be great but thats all they have.
