7/4/15: GDT - Philadelphia Phillies @ Atlanta Braves

3b and hitting are a prob for lots of teams. Top 20 prospects can turn out that way. If you get 6 cheap years of a power pen arm that is a long term piece.

Or maybe it's Juan plus grilli that fixes two holes for a contender

Im not trading him for a 20th best prospect that likely amounts to nothing.

And we have some arms on the farm who could be ready next year.

The likelyhood we get a longterm piece for Uribe are slim, and two, there's lots of great 3B league-wide, so wrong there.

But Wood is an excellent starting pitcher I thought. He is getting hit pretty hard by the worst team in the game. Like I said he's okay for a 3/4 starter, but he's not a front end starter in any rotation.

Preach, i'd trade him along with some others for an impact bat in a new york second.

He's a very good pitcher. Sometimes you don't have your stuff.
He's a 2/3 to me. If he's your 3 in the playoffs then u are winning some series

He was good last season. I just don't like his stuff enough to consistently put hitters away. His strikeouts per 9 is down, walks per 9 are up, and so are his hits per 9. He isn't very efficient and that leads to shorter outings. He's gone over 7 IP just twice this season. Hit 7 IP a couple times, but his average is about 6.1 IP a game. He needs to cutdown on these long innings if he's ever going to turn the corner.
