2015 DRAFT SIGNING THREAD

The Braves signed all top 25 picks? Is that normal? That seems impressive

Last year they signed the top 25 except for #12, #17 and #21. In 2013, they didn't sign #14. In 2012, they didn't sign #11. In 2011, they didn't sign #20.

So happy Allard is here. That would have been a big fail for the front office.

I don't care about next year being a deeper draft. Allard looks like he could be an absolute stud.

I agree that signing Allard is huge. Granted, I wouldn't have actually had an issue with getting the 15th pick next year if Allard wanted too much, but I'm really excited that he's in the fold now. I prefer the upside that Allard brings our organization due to his depressed value this year.

Yeah, I'd take Allard + a year of development for him over #15 next year.

Allard has great upside for a #15 pick. Even with a stronger group in 2016, we might not have been able to find someone with similar upside with the replacement pick.

Surprised we hadn't seen it mentioned somewhere (although somewhat understandable since MLB tends to suppress info during ASG week and the postseason), but it's official as of Monday...

Not only was Allard a late signing, but so was No. 23, Taylor Cockrell. Wonder if it was with money saved or not spent on Allard?
