Seems pretty harsh. Maybe the board could get together and pool enough money to buy a AAA starter that could potentially be an extra starting pitcher for the Braves this season in case of injury. That seems like a nice reward for Dalyn.

Sra. Julio, who is an enthusiastic but very new baseball fan, texted me to tell me that Markakis had hit a homer. I definitely checked Gameday before celebrating.

In September, Markakis will get some extra days off, so I think (just like the break) that will give him enough oomph on his return to hit another. I'm going to say he will get the 12th and 13th off allowing him a decent break with the off day on the 14th, so he will hit one on September 15th against the Blue Jays.
