RHP Brad Roney promoted to Carolina from Rome.
P Britt Robertshaw placed on Rome DL.
Taylor Lewis, Evan Phillips (2015 draft) promoted to Rome from Danville.

Like the major league team, the GCL teams started scoring more runs several games ago in anticipation of Fredito joining them.
 
Home run Fredito. GCL Braves with 13 runs so far as joy over Fredito's return overflows.
 
Yepez with another solid outing.

Also, what's the word on Bradley Keller. He's started out solidly at the plate.
 
Football game in the Gulf Coast League today. I hope that decision to go for 2 doesn't come back to haunt the Braves.

Big day for Alejandro Salazar who is hitting .319 after his last AB.
 
Isranel with another HR. I may become an Isranelite.

PS--Angel Perez--playing mostly 2B and a little SS for the GCL Braves--is an interesting case. Braves drafted him out of a Puerto Rican high school in the 35th round in 2013. He opted to go to Eastern Florida State CC. I couldn't find stats on him for either of those years. At any rate, he wasn't drafted in either 2014 or 2015, but signed with the Braves as a free agent after the GCL season started. He's having a nice start. 3 hits today puts his average at an even .300 in just over 60 ABs.

Local kid (for me, that is) from about 35 miles from me. Athletic with some speed. Was a WCU commit before the Braves scooped him up. 2015 Perfect Game Honorable Mention All-American.

This guy has 12 hits on the year, with 4 of them home runs.

Got to see him play as well, very athletic kid.
