Clearly Isranel Wilson is better than Freddie Freeman. We should just bring him up next week instead.

I don't know what Keller will be wearing on his head tonight. 3 Ks is the Hood. 4 Ks is the Golden Sombrero. Maybe five gets you the Carmen Miranda.

Did a little research on Taylor Cockrell, our 23rd round pick who was a late signee. Started his collegiate career at Stetson and started 14 games on the mound as a freshman (5-4, 4.32, 72K/29 BB in 97 IP). Transferred to State College of Florida (JC) for his sophomore year where he started 17 games; 115 IP, 98 K/24 BB, 10-3, 2.34 ERA. Played RF when he wasn't pitching (also played some OF as a freshman at Stetson) and had a .296/.340/.432 slash line.

Mallex Smith is 2-2 so far tonight, he just got his second hit and already has one stolen base tonight. Looks like he may steal second here again soon. He did, just stole second base again.

Smith is up to 47 stolen bases now, so should hit the 50 stolen base mark soon.

Still not Randy Ventura :-D

Looks like he'll probably finish 2-4 tonight, so another great day for Mallex. This is awesome to see and means we should give him time to figure things out in the majors as well rather than jumping on him if he struggles early.

Also found this video of Riley before he was drafted. This gives you a good idea of just how much weight he's lost, but to me, this shows plenty of bat speed. It may not be absolutely elite, but it looks well above-average and shouldn't be an issue for him. Find a video of Aaron Judge if you can and compare. Judge is a guy who relies on size for power because he doesn't have great bat speed, and Riley's is clearly better to me.

A nice, uncomplicated swing. I really like it.

Also looks to have some pretty good athleticism, even at that size. With reported good hands and an obviously good arm, he should be able to turn himself into a pretty good defensive 3B.
