Safe to say the team needs at least 2 SP's in FA next year.
Cant go into the year with what they have.
And im not talking about a Wandy/Harang/Cahill type.
Gotta feeling minor will be added and that's it

Maybe Jackson can teach Folty how to throw a credible slider.

This is a loaded SP market and they have plenty of money to spend.
If it's not on one of the top bats, would have to be on a SP.
Not against Minor coming back though.
Oh, I'm all for going after a sp. Just got a feeling we won't
Okay we're 12 games under .500 in the middle of August. We'll have to play .500 ball the rest of the way to have 75 wins. The way things are going, that number seems high. I'm thinking 70-92 is about where we wind up. Am I being too optimistic?
They'd be crazy not to try to add someone like Kazmir at the very least IMO. And given the recent rumors again about possibly trading Teheran, if that happens even a Kazmir added is not enough.

So what are we gonna use money on?
We have a ton of key players pre-arb, most of the pen is pretty cheap.
Im just saying if they wont add a bat, it seems logical to add a SP of some kind. Probably not a Cueto/Price/Greinke type. But ones below that they should go after.
Especially if the payrolls in the 100-110 mil range, would give them more than enough.
AJ and swisher's extensions.
I'm sure you're probably right. I'm just ill. I get that way after I see folty get rocked. If we were gonna put a terrible defensive LF out there, I wish we had played gattis there. Not a fan of the gattis trade return
So who do they spend the money on if it isnt one of the bats either?
If we trade Teheran, I think I'm done.
Gattis barely plays in the field, and i dont think his value was as high as some thought given hes basically a DH.
Cant win every trade though.
MLBTR recently had this: "The Braves have been making an effort to shed contracts that reach beyond the 2016 season, and Heyman writes to “look for them to take offers on Julio Teheran” this offseason. Clearly, Atlanta would be selling low on a talented arm that comes with a very reasonable contract. Teheran signed a six-year, $32.4MM extension prior to the 2014 season, but he’s logged a 4.57 ERA due in part to diminished control in 2015."
