I (and others) felt they could have fielded a competitive team without gutting it of most of it's talent.

I didn't think this was necessary. I did understand the reasoning, I just disagreed with the approach.

Hope some of these scouting decisions were right. What is the team ERA since 42-42, 6.00?

management is expecting the typical fredi september swoon given how obvious it is they're taking for draft position. with all of the 15, 16, and 17 year olds lined up, this club is in great shape to be competitive in 2022.

Some guys have performed their way out of contention: Viz, Grilli, Long John, Gomes. Anyone else is fair game.

The competition was stiff. But Veal was pretty special.
