GDT 8/9/13: Marlins (Turner) @ Braves (Beachy) 7:30 PM

Whelp, so much for sitting on the 3rd base sidelol, think I saw maybe two balls (with one of them being pierres double) down there all game long, Twas fun though!

Beautiful to get home from work to see not only another win, but Beachy pitching very dominantly.

Dan Pleasac believes that Beachy has "by far" the best stuff on our staff when healthy.

I guess he hasn't seen Teheran pitch.

MLB network guys don't seem to think we can win in the playoffs facing 1 and 2 pitchers....they haven't been paying attention to exactly who we have beating the last few weeks....and all season long. Do some homework fellas. That is embarrassing.

We win our 14th in a row, and ESPN is now on their 9th notch on their panel of "stories" on the left hand side of the screen...still no Braves highlights or anything about our win-streak.

Makes sense.

And MLB Network remaining skeptical about us because when we get to the playoffs we won't be facing teams 3, 4, and 5 starters. What, so we've gotten so lucky that, in a 14-game stretch, we've missed everyone's ace or number two? Guess they missed us beating Wainwright, Miller, Strasburg, Gio, and Zimmerman during this win-streak.

I lost count on the number of "notches" or whatever they did before getting to us (it was probably close to 15), but finally some Braves highlights...nearly 30 minutes into Sports Center.

Good job ESPN. It's not like it's been 11 years since there's been an MLB win-streak this long or anything.

I don't know what you guys expect from ESPN. Sure, the team has won 14 in a row, but we beat the Marlins. No one cares.

There is no drama or excitement because we have man handled the league. The Nats have been buried, and there is no competition left in the East.

So much love tonight at the Ted! Teammates hitting me bday homers and plenty of fans wishing an singing me Happy Bday... thanks for bringing in my 24th right on Friday Night Firework Night!!

Baseball loves you Jason, why don't you return it?

Plus it's ESPN. If it doesn't involve Derek Jeter it's second page news. NFL Preseason just started so baseball will be pushed to the backburner.

I don't understand why anyone gives a **** about NFL pre-season.
Especially the first game where all the headliner QB's only play maybe one series. Don't know why I expected better from ESPN. The longest win-streak in baseball in over a decade gets pushed to the backburner behind a bunch of "who cares?" NFL preseason "stories".

Some of the misinformed stuff MLB Network said about us tonight wasn't much better. Mainly the part about them not trusting us in the playoffs when we have to face 1's and 2's of pitching staffs. You know, because apparently we didn't beat Strasburg, Lee, Wainwright, and Gio during the win-streak.

Cause people are stupid. And ESPN crams it down people's throats because not only do they make money on advertising on TV by showing NFL stuff, but they make money on advertising with Fantasy Football as well. Not to mention the college season ramping up and the BS associated with that. All-in-all, ESPN blows a big one.
