And when it comes out I'm sure the mother who didn't want the child will make it a totally upstanding member of society. And I have a time I'm not OK with it. I would ban them after the 21st week. I've said it for ages. Or when there's a way to get the fetus out of the body and raise it in essentially and incubator then we can outlaw it. Care and Caution comes into effect when dealing with repercussions of going to term, and I think a doctor should have the ability to terminate it when it's still extremely premature based on his medical recommendation even if the woman's life isn't at risk.

OK Bill Clinton, let's not try to talk about the definition of "it" and yes, I think the mother owns the baby in utero. What she eats, drinks, breathes, does, everything effects the child inside. The reason why 3rd trimester abortions shouldn't be allowed in my book is because A) it's been 6+ months, how could you not have made a choice by now. B) the doctors could induce labor and the child would be born. Granted I'm not M.D. I don't know every in and out. I'm just applying simple logic to when I think there is a cutoff point. But if you want to push me into saying it. I'd rather have all abortions legal including 3rd trimester, than all abortions illegal. But then again, I care about rights.

I don't even know how to respond to this post. It's like if wrong had a baby with bad logic.

And maybe it's a tired argument, because it's the crux of the issue. Look at any discussion of abortion? What is your typical person arguing for it? And what is your typical person arguing against it? Men. Sure you've got women involved in the anti-choice discussion, but it's ran by men.

It's a tired argument because it's stupid. It's why the picture bedell posted is funny - bc the argument is dumb.

My girlfriend's mom is an OBGYN, she refused to do abortions because it "didn't feel right." Oddly, she is pro-choice. I don't know her well enough to get into the debate, but if you are OK with the action, but wouldn't feel right about doing it yourself, perhaps there's something wrong with the action...

Another issue I have is adoption is ridiculously expensive. We want two kids, preferably siblings but they don't want us to do that.

Profit? WTF?

But at least those kids weren't aborted and their moms have a conscience and then let others take care of them.

It bothers me that opening your legs is a choice when the outcome can come to this. Are people this stupid?

You know what, if you don't want kids, snip yourself. Then there wouldn't be any ISSUES.

Oh Plan Parenthood might pay for it, but since you are depriving them of money and tissue, they might tell you to go elsewhere.

Or maybe she doesn't feel comfortable doing it herself for reasons you don't grasp, because you're not her.

Argument is hardly dumb, it's what matters. We still live in a patriarchal society, so don't mind me siding with the part of society that's still poorly misrepresented legally.

I think you need a dictionary to look up what being schooled means. If you think we don't live in a patriarchal society still, you lack the critical thinking skills to have a serious debate with.

I never said that. Steaksauce said that. I never said that. THere is a massive bias against women that exists in the business world though. See number of executives that are women, so on so forth. Women are constantly coerced into certain positions and those who aspire for others are put down.
