No more than you blindly feel they're mistaken with every move they make, but that doesn't matter, right? You love to throw stones without looking at the whole story. By the time the team hopes to be competitive Wood would be much more expensive than Olivera, and multiple replacements will be ready.
Would you like to enlighten us with a better hitter for less money at 3B OR LF?
The problem with you is that you think you know more than the people who are paid to make these decisions (with much more information than you'll ever have access to) know. How about sharing your qualifications so we can start a Facebook and Twitter campaign to have you replace them?
The decisions have been made (and obviously you weren't consulted), so get over yourself. The people in charge aren't spending money on Heyward, so quit crying in your Corn Flakes. Apparently they don't give a *hit what you think, nor should they. Just as you noted that you can break down unsuccessful draft strategies like I did earlier, you can look at this regime's "plan" - when they FINISH - it's useless to try to do it before they get to those target dates.

Yawn... I have praised many of the moves they made. I'm not going to re-hash what I've said a million times. If you look at the WHOLE STORY, the trade looks much worse. He is not young (31, not 23). He is not proven (in fact, his Cuban numbers are worse than many other defectors, and only a couple of them are useful players). He is not healthy (big red flag, especially considering he is 31). He can't play serviceable defense (so now we are trying to convert him to a position he's never played, which I will ASSUME he will be terrible at). We gave up a young, good, cheap left handed starting pitcher, and a consensus top 50 prospect. That's not what re-building teams do.

For all I know, Peraza would be a better hitter.
He's proven just as much as Olivera... cheaper too.

Yawn - this is such a tired argument. This line of thinking suggests that no fan should ever be allowed to criticize a move, because "they don't have as much information..." Are you suggesting that front offices don't make mistakes? Or just that fans should never question a move? Either argument is really dumb.
But by all means, let's start a campaign for me. I'd probably do things differently. I probably wouldn't trade so much young talent (Heyward, Upton, Gattis, Kimbrel, Wood, and Peraza) and have so little to show for it. Hell, I wouldn't sign folks like Nick Markakis and instead try to retain one of the best young cores I can remember. Not saying I'd have done everything right... but I don't think I would've intentionally spiraled our team into a multi-years laughing stock. I understand that teams need to rebuild, but most teams should do it when they have nothing but old and over paid players... Heyward, Upton, Wood, Kimbrel, and Peraza don't fit that bill... (that's not to say I wouldn't have made some of those trades. Kimbrel and Gattis deals were both great, IMO).

Yes, the decisions have been made. And I think they're wrong. I'm over myself. I'm not the one who always smugly posts books on here talking about how masterful some of these moves are.
But I guess we as fans can't discuss any moves that happen for years because they aren't FINISHED yet... Next time the Braves make a trade, don't even bother making a post about it... no discussion is needed. What do you think is the right timeline... 5 years? Let's all come back in 5 years and discuss whether these were the right moves then.
