GDT: 810 Marlinsl @ Braves (Wood)

I stabbed myself a few times, but other than that I think I took the loss ok.

I'm fine with it. Only thing I'm just irked with is the sheer stupidity of letting Janish hit in the ninth. Doubt it would have mattered anyway.

I'm more relieved that Walden didn't break his hand than anything.

Not that you guys need me to tell you this, but BJ reeeally hustled on that triple in the 9thlol

I'm still annoyed by the ump tonight, the missed calls and CJ ejection and then Janish called out on strikes to end it on ball three. Plus Uggla actually hits Cishek very well IIRC and he was on deck. Oh well.

On the bright side, Wood and Gattis worked great together tonight. Wood pitched a great game, I was impressed by him as usual.

So is CJ, at least that's what I've been told.

Won't miss a beat.

Joey T was so bad defensively last year that it totally squashed his confidence and he was a terrible hitter as well. He didn't start hitting again until he got sent back to Mississippi and got moved back to 1B.

Joey T would beg to differ, he says he fell into some bad habits trying to improve his power numbers. He claims it wasn't a confidence issue and once he fixed that he started hitting again. I tend to agree with him, I don't think it was the position he played but changing what got him there. Though he was bad at third base of course.

Even if his confidence wasn't an issue his defense still was terrible and he's not good enough offensively to overcome it. He's worst than Johnson defensively at 3B.

No one was suggesting starting him at third, but he's okay for an inning or two there. He didn't have Simmons helping him out in AAA either. Fredi should've pinch hit for Janish, you worry about tying it before you worry about anything else in that situation.

It was a loss but it is a sign of great things to come with Wood. Lol, that didn't sound right. I'm sold on this kid just hope his arm doesn't fall off.
