CC can you give me a season update for Ragland? I know he's a stout run defender and lacks in pass coverage. How has he done this season?

Is there a team that even has a resume that's half as good as Michigan State's? I am referring to teams with one loss. Undefeated teams excluded.

Mich St has a low SOS. In the 50's I think. And a bad loss. The Oregon win looks good now, but at the time MSU actually played Oregon they were a pretty bad team. The Michigan win is impressive, but again it was won on a fluke play. Notre Dame, Bama and Oklahoma all have higher SOS and better losses, well other than Oklahoma.

But if Michigan St finishes with one loss then they will likely get in. Because Iowa is so overrated it's going to really benefit Michigan St.

And with the exception of Oklahoma neither of those teams can talk about a good win. When your best win is Navy you have some issues. Besides we all know the committee isn't about putting the best teams in, but ones that will generate higher ratings and bring in more money. This reason is why Notre Dame is even in the discussion and will ultimately get them in pending their game against Stanford.

And Oregon is much better than people thought. Vernon Adams missed two games I believe with injury. Also believe they have one loss when he started this season. Guess where that loss took place?

I don't have the numbers in front of me, but he has been an absolute beast. He flies all over the field and it fundamentally sound in his defensive play. Great tackler. You will hardly ever seen him miss a tackle. Also, a tremendous leader. Ever since Coach Saban arrived at Alabama, he's made his middle linebackers the leaders of the defense. Guys like Rolando McClain, Dont'a Hightower, and C.J. Mosley. Reggie definitely fits in that mold. He's a great all around player. For my money, one of the best linebackers in the country.

Interesting to See Oklahoma vault all the way to number 3 from 7. Sure they beat a ranked team, but TCU is hurt and Oklahoma was supposed to win this home game. MSU had a much bigger win this weekend and the committee is viewing it as an equal win to Oklahoma's. Surprised to see Notre Dame penalized for playing and struggling to beat weak teams. Oklahoma jumping that much is my only beef with these rankings.

I just am not sold on Iowa being a top 4 team. But they are undefeated so...

I think having Oklahoma at 3 and ND back at 6 is not that accurate.

Notre Dame hasn't beaten anyone of stature though. Their best win is Navy. Only reason they were up in the top four before was because their a blue blood school. They got by on their name more than anything else. They looked like utter dog crap the last two weeks against very bad teams.

To state the obvious, Notre Dame has to beat Stanford and root for Oklahoma State to beat Oklahoma. The Sooners need to be pulling hard for Stanford. If Notre Dame gets an impressive enough win, that will give some voters an excuse to move them up.

Michigan State is in a good spot. Beat Penn State, win then Big 10 Championship Game, they are in.

weso1 How do you feel about the Vols this year?

Underachieved or overachieved? All losses they blew leads.

It's hard to say the Vols underachieved when we are (likely) going to win more games than we have since 2007. But at the same time, it's super frustrating to know that we could have/should have beaten 2 of the top 4 teams in the country, along with Florida and Arkansas. We have held a 4th quarter lead in every game but the Arkansas game. We have to learn to finish games and stop playing so conservative with a lead.

But at the same time, we are still super young and still thin at depth in some key areas (mainly OL). However, the good news about that is the majority of our key players are returning next season. Would be really huge for us if Cam Sutton and Jalen Reeves Maybin stay for their senior year. That would give us an amazing defense in 2016.

I'm still redneck angry over the Florida loss. We should be playing for the SEC championship. I don't know, I mean Butch doesn't seem to be able to control himself on the sidelines and I think it hurt us this season. At the same time I can't ignore the fact that he was highly competitive in every single game. I mean 14 points and we're undefeated. I think Butch needs to just take a deep breath at times and relax. He gets so intense that I think it makes him unable to make an intelligent decision. He also may just flat out be an idiot. He reminds me sometimes of that bully kid from Home Alone.

I would say this year was meeting expectations. And that kind of sux. I was hoping maybe we'd have a guy who could beat expectations. Going forward I don't really have any hope that we have a coach who can get us over the mediocre hump. Next year we should be a top 15 team with our roster and I'm left feeling that we won't get there. And we'll lose to UF again even though we should beat them.

Almost certain I've never seen an uglier four-game winning streak than Georgia's. Once again we had to go down to the last play of a game that should have been in a bag. Once again the defense has to bail out a terrible offense and a coach with no clue about clock management.
