So it looks like this will be the setup going into next week.

Clemson
Alabama
Oklahoma
Iowa

Michigan State
Ohio State
Stanford
North Carolina

Oklahoma should be locked in.

Winner of Michigan State-Iowa gets a spot.

Alabama and Clemson get spots if they win.

If either or both lose, last spots between Ohio State, Stanford, North Carolina.

LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LSU's AD just said Miles is staying! Wow. Some people at LSU look real stupid right now

Miles has his supporters. You'd be a fool to think there wasn't anything to these rumors. The rumors would had been squashed as soon as possible if they weren't true.

Maybe Jimbo turned them down?

The sad thing about the playoffs is that 3 teams have to actually play challenging opponents next week to get in. MSU and Iowa have to play each other. Clemson has to play a good UNC team. Bama has to play the second best team in the SEC East now that the cheater is suspended. Oklahoma has no worries this weak. They are in no matter what happens. Kind of ridiculous when you think about it. They get a bye week.

Que Niners rant but it's set up just right.

At least they were smart enough to keep Miles.

For realz. Aside from Chip Kelly, who exactly was LSU going to get that would have been a clear home run hire?

LSU has an amazing opportunity in 2016, as they are losing the least amount of key players of any team in the SEC West, aside from A&M. Bama is losing a ton of players on both sides of the ball, and will likely be losing multiple coaches (Kiffin and Smart) who will get poached for HC jobs. MS St. is losing Prescott, Ole Miss is losing several first rounders as well. LSU should have a pretty clear path to the SEC West title in 2016 considering their returning talent. If Miles loses more than 2 SEC games next year, you should fire him then.

If that worries the NCAA or bowl people, they deserve it for the obscene money grab.

80 teams should not be in a bowl game.

Bowl games are watered down and have been for awhile. My thoughts are this though. Give these kids another chance to play the game they love in a unique setting. Although not even being .500 is really sad when you think about playing in a bowl game. Actually this is awarding a participation trophy and that's downright pathetic. So never mind what I said before. This is a money grab through and through.

How all the rankings are screwed and you guys would get the shaft. And look, you win and are in... Worked out all right huh?

Worked out because Notre Dame lost. Therefore it takes the chance to screw it up out of the committee's hands.

Only thing that could really screw this up is if Clemson loses to UNC. Then you have OSU, Bama, Big 10 winner, OU, UNC, and Clemson all with legitimate claims to a top 4 spot.

If that happens it should be in order:

B1G champ, Oklahoma, Alabama, and Stanford if they win.

I don't take any joy in it. But it had to happen. The numbers speak for themselves. Wish him the best of luck, whether it's in our administration or on the sidelines elsewhere. Hope we make a good hire.
