Yea, I thought that was weird. I also heard the father of a woman whom works at one of the buildings being interviewed over the phone say that this is all-the-more shocking because they have been holding trial anti-gunman drills at the building recently. I'd have to dig to find the news clip to prove what I heard, which I don't really feel like doing.
But it made me wonder if they had received threats recently.
Apparently they train regularly for such an event because of the volatile nature of some of their cases family members per LATimes (http://www.latimes.com/local/lanow/...ng-inland-regional-center-20151202-story.html) That training may have saved some lives. I could see similar trainings become more widespread with the volatile nature in which society has arrived at .
Welp. So much for that.

Our president won't secure the borders only politic to go after factions and not fixing the problem.
This could not be prevented, just like black on black crime, he turns a blind eye to it instead of confronting the problem. Instead he wants to score politic points so he has a legacy.
He has been a complete disaster and yet lib/dem idiots applaud his handling. This is on his watch, all of it and his legacy is tainted.
All shootings need to stop but the 355 number includes gang shootings, domestic violence, and armed robbery. When I think of mass shooting, those would not be considered. (Jmo).
