I guess it's a wait and see deal. Braves probably offering him the chance to play here because it is relatively close to home (kinda?). if we offer less and he accepts, great, if not, oh well.

but I do think he would be a good pick up.

Going after decent players who are mid 30s in age isn't going to help this season or anything in the future. Just seems like a wasted move. Especially if you consider the lack of a budget the team has. I don't believe the reports that they will up it in 2017. Until we actually see that happen we have every right to question it.
 
I agree with Niners, a Zobrist signing wouldnt make much sense, maybe if they were close to contending.

Obviously we're not.

good grief.. wonder if the Gnats are going to go into next season with Storen and Paps as there back end relief.. that is a mess..

Think they may cut/release/trade Storen.

Wouldnt mind Atl taking a look at him, i said when that deal was made it was dumb.

Storen was the goat for the postseason in 14.. He had been lights out in 15 and then the Gnats yanked his closer role right from him. I said the same thing. it was dumb and Storen wasn't the same for them after that..

I agree also.. Storen needs a new home..

I like O'Day. But I find it strange to see the Braves trying to sign a near-elite reliever.

More power to them....the move does not make sense for us at the moment, between the 3 teams they are saying it is narrowed down to, only the Nats have a chance to be competitive anytime soon.
